How You Can Help the School


La Providence de Frères serves about 200 children and their families each year.

You can help the school by donating money, school supplies, clothes, shoes, time, knowledge or expertise, etc.... All types of donations are appreciated.

Consider becoming a regular donor and support the school on a monthly or yearly basis.

What will we do with the donations?

The need is great at la Providence. Every donation is used in one or several of the following ways:
  • Paying teachers' salaries
  • Repairing and building classrooms, chairs, benches, blackboards
  • Tuition, uniforms and shoes for students who are orphans and those whose parents are unable to pay
  • Charcoal, oil, spices, and other supplies for the kitchen to provide a daily meal for each student.
  • School supplies such as pencils, pens, chalk, paper, notebooks, textbooks, yarns(for crochet), scrap paper and other craft supplies
  • Transportation for group outings.
  • And many more
You can also sponsor a child for a whole year for only $200 which will cover the cost of tuition and school supplies.

How to donate school supplies, clothes and shoes?

The items we are in need of are the following:
  • Clothing and shoes: White socks, black shoes for boys and girls (3-15
  • School supplies: pencils, pens, white chalk, white bond paper, notebooks, rulers
  • pencil sharpeners, yarns(for crochet), scrap paper and other craft.

How to donate your time, knowledge or expertise?

We welcome teaching professionals who can help strengthen our teaching staff by sharing their expertise. We also welcome native English speakers who are able to teach English to the students. If you have a desire to come work with us in serving the children of and their families, please get in touch with us
